Every fall semester the Alpha Sigma chapter hosts the annual Fall Frenzy social and semi-formal. Fall Frenzy is a fun date social where all the girls get together to enjoy some fun at the start of the fall semester! Semi-formal is a date social when everyone dresses up in their finest cocktail dresses. During this social, officers serving on the Executive Board are presented with awards for their hard work, dedication, and service to the chapter.

Every spring semester the Alpha Sigma chapter hosts the annual Crush date social,  Formal, and Grub. Crush is a date social with a new theme each year. Some past themes have been Kentucky Derby, Famous Couples, and Mardi Gras Ball. For formal all of the newest pledge class members wear long white dresses and the older members wear long, elegant formal dresses as well. Each new member is presented at the event by their Big Sis, a very special moment for all Phi Mu members. During Formal, members receive "funny awards," including Health Nut, Best Big Sis/Lil Sis, Three Stooges, and Ragin' Cajun! Grub is a date party that happens towards the end of the semester. During previous Grubs, members and their dates have enjoyed crawfish with the theme of hometown throw-down.
