Letter From Recruitment Chair

Dear Potential New Member,

My name is Madelyn Dejean and I am Phi Mu Alpha Sigma’s recruitment chair. Recruitment is one of the most exciting and memorable events each and every sorority gets to participate in, and I could not be more excited to be able to help guide you through that experience. Going Greek is one of the best decisions I made that has given me more than I could have imagine by joining Phi Mu. With that being said I hope it does the same for you.

Recruitment at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette is just the beginning of a lifetime of friends, opportunities, and memorable moments that will last a lifetime. Phi Mu offers numerous growing opportunities in leadership, academics, and service with sisters that are there with you the whole way. During recruitment we strive to exhibit and be examples of what our chapter is like, which is a diverse, welcoming, genuine group of girls whose goals are to make an unforgettable college experience.

Here in Phi Mu, you will learn the true meaning of sisterhood and provide you a home away from home. If there would be one advice to give to you all as you embark on this new and exciting journey is that you get out what you put in. Going Greek is such a positive experience and I hope everyone can get the chance to find your special bond and home just like I did!
